Core Values
Before doing a project you will have to properly plan the steps you will take throughout the time of the project. You do this by making a schedule about which tasks will be done on which days, how much time you give yourself for the task and make deadlines for these. Further you will read about how I did this for my Portfolio.
Due to my previous education not having a need for planning, as I didn't have any projects, I am not used to doing any of this. Which is what I think has caused my procrastination because I used to study one day before or on the day of the exam. So not something I am proud of.
I did receive feedback from my studycoach and some teachers that I should not procrastinate and that I should work on my procrastination.
Again it is not something I am used to doing and am not proud about it. But knowing myself, unless someone pushes me to do something or tells me to do something I will not do said thing until the last moment (which is a really bad habit that I should fix).
If I am ever in a similar situation (which is highly likely) I want to make a planning for myself and make sure to stick to this planning to the best of my abilities. I also really want to work on my procrastination.
When working on an assignment it is always good to take the direct stakeholder into account. You make sure you pay attention to what you want to communicate and in which shape you do this. When working in a group you know what you have to do and what your role is in the group. And this all comes down to how good your communication skills are. I have had talks with some teachers, primarily my studycoach(Chris) and Dirk, about my progress with my portfolio.
The feedback I received on this topic was that I have to take more initiative in communicating as this affects my progress on what I'm working on.
I also think I should put more effort into approaching the teachers when I have an assignment to make. I can communicate fine when I put my mind to it but due to not having a need to do this in my previous education it is an unfamiliar territory for me to go and talk to the teachers.
The next time I will try my best to approach the teachers more and talk more to them when doing an assignment or anything that needs me to talk to them.
While working on a task or project you will have questions about whether your you are doing the right thing or are on the right track to finding the best solution. Answering these questions with critical thinking and getting ideas from multiple sources is what Exploratory Research is all about. Read further to see if I can answer my own questions.
Throughout the process of making my portfolio I was asked question on my design and was able to answer some of these. For example I was asked why I picked my the topic for my portfolio, the topic is Sword Art Online, and I answered with it being my favorite anime and one of my favorite game franchises. So the portfolio being a personal project I felt like it would be a fun topic to work with. Later on I was also asked about certain design aspects but could not answer these immediately so I went and did research on the videogames themselves and other websites related to Sword Art Online and see how they designed their website and then got some inspiration from these and used it in my portfolio's design. After doing this, the answer I came up with for that question was that other websites were using similar layouts and the idea for my navbar came from the Menu from the anime and videogames.
I did not get any feedback on this learning outcome.
I think I am pretty good at answering questions while working on a project but that is how I feel about myself. I'm pretty sure it does not look that way to others.
The next time I will not change much besides asking more questions.
When doing any project or assignment it is smart to make an efficient and realistic planning. Of course you might know what is realistic to you but it is always good to be open to feedback and to properly reflect on the feedback received as it could give you more insight about yourself. I have asked for feedback but not as much as I should have. But for the ones I did ask I have reflected on them but did not fully reflect on it. Some of the feedback received was actually used and some went through one ear and out of the other.
I was told that I don't ask for enough feedback and should ask for more.
I agree 100% with this and it is something i really have to work on.
The next time I want to make sure I ask for more feedback as this helps me with both myself as a person and with whatever I would be working on at that moment.
Knowing yourself is very important. Knowing your core values comes hand in hand with knowing yourself, by knowing your core values you can make better decisions and know what you want in life. If you are interested in my core values then feel free to read further.
I did a survey on viacharacter.org(which was suggested by Dirk and Lars) and found out more about what my core values are. Below I will show the top 8 strengths.
Some of my own core values that I know are Adventure, Compassion, Creativity, Curiosity, Fairness, Fun, Kindness and Trustworthiness. These are just some of them but I hope this gives you an idea of what kind of person I am. And this also aligns with why I chose ICT Media & Design as it is a Fun and Creative study program.

I agree with the results I got from the website and am pretty surprised with how accurate it was.

I made the planning and time that was supposed to be allotted to the group project and helped with the task distribution.
Some feedback was received about the planning and it was said that it was good.
We sadly did not follow the planning made and ended up having to rush a lot of things in the last few days. So actually sticking to the planning made would have been nice. But that's on all of us.
The next time I would like to stick to the planning that's been made and not procrastinate.

The communication with the team members was done via Whatsapp or in person and I think we had good communication with the teachers but only in the last few days of the project.
No feedback was received for this Learning Outcome.
The communication was good in the beginning but as it came closer to the end of the project the communication was getting less better with one of the members which definitely affected our progress.
The next time I would like to have better communication between everyone.

I did not do much in this Learning Outcome besides asking teachers for their opinion on some questions I had regarding the documentation and the layout of the coding.
We received feedback that our documentation was good.
I should have been more proactive in this Learning Outcome.
The next time around I will make sure to ask a lot of questions and not do everything on my own.
Being able to know who you're making your product for is an important step to have a successful product. By doing surveys, interviews and research you can find out more information on your Target Group and implement changes in your product to fit this Target Group. The same as with my Portfolio, I did not ask for much feedback. I should have asked for way more.

I am now reflecting on this whole thing and realize that I should have asked for way more feedback not only as an individual but as a group too.
Will try my best to ask for more feedback the next time around.

You can see my core values in the Portfolio section of core values but one thing I didn't add was that there was one team member(who I will not mention the name of) who I did not like working with very much. Their personality and them as a person did not really click with me but that is just my opinion.
Got some feedback from my peers and they also agree with my core values and that the results from the website match with me.
I am happy that they also agree with my core values as it is one of the things I am proud of.
In a similar situation I would not change my core values whatsoever as it is what defines me as myself.
